From August 22nd to 30th, over 1,000 Canadian Armed Forces members from the Greater Toronto Area and Niagara will deploy to CFB Petawawa for Exercise STEADFAST WARRIOR. Troops will conduct simulated high-intensity combat operations using blank ammunition, pyrotechnics, live artillery fire, and explosive demolitions. Infantry, armoured cavalry, combat engineers, artillery, signals, medical, and logistical personnel will train through defensive engagements, tactical resupply, and mobility operations involving helicopters and potentially assault boats.

The exercise will conclude with a coordinated assault on a complex tactical objective. This training strengthens the capability and readiness of Reserve personnel as individual soldiers and teams in support of Canada’s commitments within the NATO Alliance
